‘I first went to Susan as a recurrent miscarriage sufferer and had not long been diagnosed with a low egg reserve! I seen her for 2 months and then found out I was pregnant, Susan not only helped with my fertility but she helped with my kidneys and my anxiety! Once I was pregnant it was the lockdown of 2020 and she didn’t want to leave me on my own so we had video sessions! Susan is absolutely lovely and sometimes just talking to her helped me to feel better! I would 100% recommend Susan if anyone needed any form of Acupuncture!’

‘After suffering for years with very irregular periods and feeling pretty wiped out the entire time, I decided to give acupuncture a go.  Immediately I was made to feel so relaxed and Susan really listens to what you have to say.  I felt like I could talk about almost anything and it was a breath of fresh air that I didn't have to rush through my symptoms so I could get a diagnosis.  Susan went through every aspect of my health as apparently it is all interrelated.  After not experiencing a period for almost 3 months, I had a treatment from Susan and the very next day, my period came!  I was amazed!!!  Now my cycle is completely regular and she's also helped me in other aspects of my life.  I feel so much more energised now and somehow seem to have a lot more confidence in myself.  Life just seems better since starting treatment and I will definitely be continuing!  Thank you so much!’

‘I’ve been coming to Susan Martin for Acupuncture for a number of years after it was suggested by my doctor. The results have been amazing and whilst my treatment needs have changed over this time, Susan’s approach continues to provide much needed intervention, guidance and support. Since the start of the Coronavirus lockdown, I was concerned about the impact this may have on my health, as I was no longer able to access face to face Acupuncture treatment. Fortunately, Susan was able to provide online video consultations, using acupressure, which has been such a relief. Not only am I able to have professional guidance as to the type of treatment that is suitable for me, but I’m also able to take ownership of providing an intervention for my health - whereas previously I had just been a grateful recipient of my treatment I’m now better attuned to my body and the signs that help me know how I’m doing. Having access to a practitioner who I trust during this process has been invaluable and Susan’s approach, balancing theory with sensitivity and honesty, has been a much needed outlet for self care.’

‘I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome just over 2 years ago following a viral infection. There wasn’t much that could be offered to me in terms of conventional medicine so I decided to give alternative medicine a try. Through my acupuncture and acupressure treatments Susan has helped me to slowly rebuild my energy levels, reduce my pain and increase my stamina. I have been able to return to work and also incorporate some fun nice to do activities, interspersed with rest periods. I really couldn’t recommend Susan more highly for helping with chronic pain, neurological and immune conditions. I thought I ate healthily before but Susan has really helped me to improve my diet with simple tweaks here and there to help improve my energy levels and rhinitis. Susan is a professional practitioner with a great passion for what she does. Her knowledge is current, relevant and she shares it with her patients in ways they can understand and put into practice.’

‘I started to experience migraines 8 years ago when I was 47, I had never experienced them before then. Over the years I thought I had tried pretty much everything including; trying to identify food intolerances, magnesium and lots of other food supplements, meditation, various breathing techniques, yoga, EFT, consultations with a Nutritionist and a Kinesiologist. Whilst many of these alternatives helped a little, they didn’t help long term. I then left my day job convinced that once I had a calmer job things would improve but they just didn’t! I reluctantly took GP advice and started taking amitriptyline daily to prevent headaches, I felt a bit defeated as I’d much prefer to treat the root cause but felt I couldn’t continue to have 2 x 3 day migraines a week which was where I was before taking medication. The medication worked like a dream for 6 months but then the headaches returned just as bad as before. I started seeing Susan for acupuncture in Nov 2019 and already it’s made a massive difference. I’m totally off the medication and just going through the last withdrawal phase, but I haven’t taken any painkillers for 3 months. I love her non judgmental approach and I know I am going to continue to have acupuncture regularly to prevent health issues. Even though I’ve been going through medication withdrawal whilst we’ve been in lockdown due to the coronavirus, I’ve been having weekly video calls for acupressure which has helped prevent any undoing of the progress I’ve made. I used to think this type of therapy was a bit of a luxury, but I’ve definitely spent more money in the past trying to find a solution, so I thoroughly recommend Susan, she’s amazing.’
